First Godiva of the Month

January - Margareth Menezes

She's a great brazilian singer! Powerfull, beautiful and bahiana! And i'ts summer here in the south... that means Margareth is heating up for the Carnival Season, it's her time!

Great First Godiva!

Favorite Leading Ladies of 2008

I sure wanna make a top ten...but i won't...it will be a top 5. Why? Because the "listing" thing it's all about select a few important people, and i will not choose 10 actresses, because i do have a problem in this selecting things... so there is my top 5, choose more 5 to a top 10 it's to hard for me.
My selected bitches are....

Bitch n°5 -Juliane Moore - Blindnes

She's so powerfull and such a great actres, impossible to ignore, well, the critics did so...the movie got bad reviews and was shut out of the awards radar and the top 10 lists. Who cares, she did a great job, amazing performance aprooved by Saramago himself! What else that bitch needs? The Doctor's Wife came to life so beautifully and strong, she's the eyes of the movie...

Bitch n°4-Cate Blanchett - The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
So great, we know she's the "overrated" girl for some people, dull. Blanchett actually is my favorite actress all time(and of course she's here) until now, she's not afraid to take some risks, to do bad movies and make them look ok. In Benjamin she plays Daisy, and the bitch kick ass!
Senior Bitch nº3- Meryl Streep - Doubt

Well, what can i say...if the Great Bitch can't make in imagine the other ladies...Great lady and great character, that bitchy nun. plus - that outfit in Mamma Mia, that was brave thing to wear.

Bitch nº2 - Sally Hawkins - Happy-Go-Lucky

This year surprise! Poppy, so annoying yet so hilarious! I just love Mike Leigh characters! Mrs. Hawkins gave me the bigest laughts in movies this year.
Bitch nº1 - Kate Winslet - Revolutionary Road and The Reader.

April and Hannah, the two best performances of the year came from the same actress, nothing more to say...well i have, give her an Oscar!
Special Bitch:
Brazilian Girl - Carla Ribas in Alice's House (A Casa de Alice)
Ribas shines in this little independent brazilian movie, it's a great piece of work! She makes me love more the brazilian movies.
